Emily Gach, LMSW
Emily Gach is a fully licensed clinical social worker, who graduated from the University of Michigan School of Social Work. She completed her Post-Graduate Clinical Fellowship at the University Center for the Child and Family in Ann Arbor.
As a child, adolescent, and family therapist, Emily is committed to providing individualized and thoughtful care to clients and their families. She specializes in areas concerning anxiety, attachment, trauma, parenting challenges, and family communication. She also provides support for individuals and families who are navigating life transitions, grief experiences, or relationship difficulties. Emily has specialized training in early childhood mental health and works to help parents and children form healthy attachment relationships. She uses a strength-based approach, integrating various evidence-based practices into her work including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Mindfulness-based practices, and Play Therapy.
Emily enjoys incorporating creative expression and self-compassion into her work with clients. Emily uses a collaborative, supportive, client-centered approach in her clinical practice. She creates a safe, comfortable and nonjudgmental space to empower clients in reaching their goals. When working with Emily, clients can expect to feel heard, understood, and validated in their efforts and experiences.
