Rebecca Kitchens, MA
Ms. Rebecca Kitchens received her M.A. in clinical psychology from the University of Detroit-Mercy. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology in Florida International University in Miami, Florida. Since moving to the Midwest in 2015, Ms. Kitchens has been providing psychotherapy and psychological assessments to adults in the Detroit Metro area.
Through her training at community clinics, college counseling centers and hospitals, Ms. Kitchens has served a diverse group of clients and worked with a variety of cultural, sexual and religious identities. Ms. Kitchens has experience treating those with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, grief, chronic illness and relationship issues. She has a particular interest helping those who have experienced sexual assault or childhood sexual abuse.
Ms. Kitchens uses an integrative style of therapy. By blending insight-oriented and cognitive-behavioral approaches, she aims to help clients achieve lasting change while building the skills to deal with their difficulties in the here-and-now. Ms. Kitchens is committed to helping her clients understand themselves and achieve their goals in a collaborative and supportive environment.
