Christina Russell, Ph.D., ABPP

Christina Russell, Ph.D., ABPP is a board-certified child and adolescent psychologist with a passion for helping young people and their families thrive. Drawing on extensive experience in neurodevelopmental assessment, psychotherapy, supervision, and consultation, Dr. Russell collaborates closely with families to understand the whole child and tailor care that resonates with their unique strengths.

Dr. Russell’s approach centers on providing evidence-based, family-friendly care, drawing from her rich experience as a clinical psychologist, school psychologist and early interventionist. Her goal is for every family to feel informed, empowered, and equipped with the resources to support their child’s growth and well-being. Therapeutically, Dr. Russell provides thoughtful and eclectic support, integrating cognitive behavioral therapy, parent consultation, social skills training, dialectical behavior therapy, and psychoeducation, ensuring each treatment plan is as unique as the child it supports.

Dr. Russell received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and completed her PhD at Indiana University Bloomington. Dr. Russell completed an APA-accredited internship with Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District. She has since become a dedicated mentor, providing supervision and training for interns, postdoctoral fellows, and psychiatry fellows in child and adolescent mental health. Her supervisory and didactic roles have resulted in an adjunct faculty position at Michigan State University.

Dr. Russell’s practice at Arbor Psychology focuses on comprehensive psychological assessment of a range of developmental and psychological referral questions, including assessment of autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and other neurodevelopmental conditions. Dr. Russell additionally provides psychotherapy to support a range of child and adolescent social, emotional and behavioral concerns.
