Kathleen completed her practicum at Intersessions Counseling Center and has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples helping them overcome depression, anxiety, relationship issues, adjustment to life transitions and parenting issues. Ms. Pierson’s approach to psychotherapy is integrative and utilizes a variety of empirically validated therapeutic techniques.  She strives to create a collaborative atmosphere, where clients feel valued and accepted. Her aim is to help clients be able to evaluate situations, relationships and behaviors in their lives that are causing stress and assist them in learning how to navigate, manage and cope with them. She believes that every person is unique and has their own set of strengths that can aid in their individual treatment.

Kathleen also specializes in Christian integration which uses Christian theology to connect one’s beliefs with the interventions used in therapy. When using Christian integration, she seeks to incorporate theology, psychology, and spiritual formation to treat client’s presenting problems.

Ms. Pierson is directly supervised by Dr. Caleb Siefert.
