Kathleen Pierson, MA, TLLP
Kathleen Pierson is a licensed psychotherapist (TLLP) in the state of Michigan. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Moody Theological Seminary and Graduate school. Kathleen completed her practicum at Intersessions Counseling Center and has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples helping them overcome depression, anxiety, relationship issues, adjustment to life transitions and parenting issues. She holds Gottman I and II certification for couples counseling.
Ms. Pierson takes an integrative approach to psychotherapy, utilizing a variety of empirically validated therapeutic techniques based upon the needs of each individual client. She seeks to provide a supportive, non-judgmental, safe, and collaborative environment with her clients to help individuals and couples explore, understand, and change unhealthy or unwanted patterns of behavior and/or navigate distressing and difficult life situations. She believes that every person is unique and has their own set of strengths that can aid in their individual treatment.
For any client seeking Christian centered treatment, Kathleen specializes in Christian integration which utilizes Christian theology to help connect one’s beliefs with the interventions used in therapy. Christian integration aims to offer thoughtful and compassionate spiritual care and guidance in relation to the client’s presenting problems.
Ms. Pierson is directly supervised by Dr. Caleb Siefert.
