Alexis Lashbrook, LMSW

Lexi believes that too often the smallest voices are shushed, silenced, or misunderstood despite all of the insight and creativity they have to share. Lexi is a child and adolescent therapist who is passionate about supporting children and amplifying their voices. She works with them to understand more about their brain and body, heal from experiences they have endured, and utilize their strengths to move towards their individualized goals.

Lexi is a fully licensed clinical social worker. She graduated with her Bachelors in Social Work from Saginaw Valley State University in 2020, a Masters in Social Work from the University of Michigan in 2021, and her School Social Work certificate from Michigan State University in 2022. Lexi has experience in the elementary school setting and private practice.

Lexi works with children, teens, and parents providing evidenced-based, play-led interventions to support with processing and healing from trauma and adverse childhood experiences, understanding and managing anxiety, increasing executive functioning skills for neurodiverse children, and supporting parents with parent-child attachment and challenging childhood behaviors. She maintains a certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and utilizes interventions from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Exposure and Response Prevention, Supporting Parents of Anxious Children, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy.

Lexi views child and adolescent therapy as a team system. She enjoys meeting with individuals, their caregivers, and school personnel to provide the necessary support to meet their goals. She feels an immense honor in being a part of each family’s team.
