Jaime Wetzel, Ph.D.
Dr. Jaime Wetzel has specialized in work with children, teens, and families for over 20 years. She is a native Michigander who enjoys physical fitness, podcasts, and spending time outdoors. Dr. Wetzel holds a Master’s degree in Art Therapy from Wayne State University and a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy. She has worked in diverse settings including a therapeutic kindergarten, juvenile court, private practice, and university teaching. For the past 12 years she has performed clinical and administrative duties in a child and adolescent psychiatric hospital. Dr. Wetzel provides integrative treatment that incorporates play therapy for younger children and education, support, relationship evaluation, cognitive restructuring, and insight for teens and adults. Dr. Wetzel takes pride in developing authentic relationships and creative self-improvement strategies, to help all clients meet their unique treatment goals.
