Kayla Hauck, LMSW

Kayla Hauck (she, her, hers) is a fully licensed clinical social worker in the state of Michigan. She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. Kayla completed her field placement at Hawthorn Center working with children and adolescents placed in a state psychiatric hospital setting. Prior to joining Arbor Psychology Group, Kayla worked for five years at Washtenaw County Community Mental Health with children, adolescents, and families.

Kayla works with children and teens. She has a special interest in working with elementary age-children and younger children who are experiencing issues related to anger, anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, life changes, foster care/adoption, and trauma. She also enjoys working with parents/caregivers to improve parent-child relationships. Kayla uses a variety of treatment approaches including child-led play therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has significant experience in providing skills-based work with parents as well. Kayla believes in using a family-centered approach that emphasizes meeting people where they are at, building on strengths, and working collaboratively as a team to improve on goals. She believes in the importance of creating a safe and supportive space where anyone can feel welcome and hopeful about the changes therapy can bring.
