Michaela Adams, MA, CCC-SLP
Michaela Adams (she, her, hers) is a licensed speech and language pathologist, with a decade of clinical, private, and school based experience in Michigan. Michaela received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College, double majoring in communication and elementary education. Subsequently, Michaela earned a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Eastern Michigan University. Her extensive experience with diverse populations and varying age groups affords her a broad perspective resulting in an ability to facilitate a wide array of client needs. Honored to have been invited to share her knowledge, Michaela enjoys teaching graduate level courses within her field at Eastern Michigan University.
Michaela’s breadth of experience includes assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals in the areas of articulation, expressive language, receptive language, pragmatic/social language, phonological processing, and fluency.
Michaela enjoys working in the private setting where she can draw on her client’s strengths and interests. While collaborating with family members to establish clear objectives, she creates a customized plan for each client. Supporting an individual’s unique speech and language journey is where Michaela truly shines. Passionate about establishing a trusting rapport with her clients, Michaela utilizes evidence-based methods to achieve co-created goals.
Advocating for the importance of early intervention, Michaela promotes parental education as an integral part of successful therapeutic techniques. Michaela is approachable and remembers to listen kindly. Fostering a comfortable and engaging environment is a priority. Believing her role is to empower and champion her clients, Michaela strives to provide meaningful tools and build confidence to improve speech, language, and communication skills.
