Liz Barnard, OTRL

Liz Barnard is a licensed occupational therapist. She graduated with her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Michigan University and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Michigan State University. Since beginning her work as an Occupational Therapist, Liz has worked in a variety of settings including pediatric outpatient practice and schools. She has worked with varying diagnoses and age ranges, with a special interest in the areas of feeding and sensory processing.

Liz has completed specialized training courses including the SOS Approach to Feeding, SOS Advanced Training Workshop for Feeding the 6-16 month Old Child, NOMAS for infant feeding, and various courses targeting fine motor skills, visual perception, and sensory processing skills.

Liz prides herself on her ability to work with families to tailor treatments to the best needs of each client. She appreciates helping clients to increase their independence in activities of daily living and engage in meaningful occupations. Liz truly values collaborating with other practitioners to develop holistic interventions.

In addition to her occupational therapy work, Liz enjoys running, spending time outdoors, teaching and practicing yoga, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
