Melissa Rosenblum, Ph.D.
Dr. Melissa Rosenblum is a licensed psychologist in the state of Michigan with over 15 years of clinical experience. She holds a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kentucky and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan Psychological Clinic. Prior to working in university counseling, Dr. Rosenblum practiced as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor for several years in community mental health settings.
Dr. Rosenblum is delighted to be a staff member at Arbor Psychology Group. Her areas of interest include trauma, couples and marital therapy, personality disorders, identity development concerns throughout the lifespan, and multicultural concerns. Dr. Rosenblum has significant experience addressing anxiety and depression, relationships concerns, grief and loss, life transitions, sexual, gender and other identity concerns. Dr. Rosenblum also practices at Eastern Michigan University as a therapist and clinical supervisor. Beyond her clinical duties, she coordinates the university’s active bystander programming and chairs a Title IX committee devoted to sexual violence prevention on campus.
Dr. Rosenblum practices from an integrative perspective, drawing from approaches and techniques that best fit the needs of each client. Dr. Rosenblum recognizes the courage it takes to seek mental health care. She provides a safe, compassionate space for individuals to explore their areas of concern and identify their vision for a positive therapeutic outcome. Treatment goals are established collaboratively with an emphasis on honoring each person’s inherent wisdom and strengths.
Dr. Rosenblum is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and moved to Michigan in 2007. She is married and a mother of two. She enjoys running, biking, and is an aspiring chef.
