Lisa Evans, LMSW

Lisa EvansĀ (she, her, hers) is a fully licensed clinical social worker in the state of Michigan. She earned her MSW degree from the University of Michigan School of Social Work. Prior to joining Arbor Psychology Group, Lisa worked at Michigan Medicine in various clinics including Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Center for Sexual Health, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Primary Care.

Lisa has over 35 years of clinical experience. She provides treatment for a wide-range of concerns including trauma, depression, anxiety, stress associated with life transitions including adjustment to illness/disability and becoming a parent, as well as coping with family/family of origin conflict.

Lisa has specialized clinical expertise including a certification in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International and provides therapy for clients who are experiencing infertility and perinatal mood and anxiety disorder. Additionally, Lisa has a certification in Sex Therapy through the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists.

With all her clients, Lisa integrates elements of Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness in her practice.

Lisa has a supportive and strength-based approach. She sees therapy as a collaborative process. Lisa strives to provide a safe and client centered environment in which clients may explore options for change and growth.
