Becky Gracia – LMSW
Becky works with children and adolescents to address a wide range of concerns and issues, including anxiety/OCD, depression, self-confidence, social skills challenges, ADHD and other learning disabilities. Becky also enjoys working with parents to help them better understand and support their child.
Becky uses a variety of experiential therapies as tools in her therapeutic work, including art, mindfulness, nature and adventure therapy. She believes that people of all ages are able to express, communicate and process emotions and experiences through hands-on experiences and she brings this belief into her work. Therapeutic interventions are tailored to each client and incorporate a variety of theoretical frameworks, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Play-Based Therapy and Mindfulness.
Becky is a certified mindfulness instructor. She is also trained in the SPACE model for treating childhood anxiety and OCD and offers virtual parent groups on this topic throughout the year. Becky has presented on a variety of topics including mindfulness, child anxiety and art-based therapeutic interventions.
Becky strives to build a positive, supportive, and trusting relationship with each of her clients. She believes therapy should be a collaborative process and welcomes the opportunity to work with you. She meets with clients for outdoor-based sessions in Ann Arbor, MI. She also offers school-based mental health services, including individual therapy for elementary and middle-school students and mindfulness-based programming/professional development.
