Maggie Mieras, LMSW, PMH-C
Margaret (Maggie) Mieras is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Michigan. She completed her dual Master’s degrees in social work and public health from the University of Michigan. In addition to her work at Arbor Psychology Group, Maggie works as a social worker and psychotherapist at Michigan Medicine’s Briarwood Center for Women, Children, and Young Adults.
Maggie has over twelve years of experience working with pregnant and postpartum women. Maggie has specialized clinical expertise- including a certification in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International. She has additional training with couples, sexual health, self-compassion, and integrative behavioral health. Maggie’s passionate about working with those experiencing pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders and perinatal grief and loss. Additionally, Maggie has experience and interest in relationship issues, adjustment to life transitions, issues with family of origin, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and other mood concerns.
Maggie uses a non-judgmental and validating stance to help clients heal and grow, incorporating elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and self-compassion. She strives to provide an empathetic and supportive environment for clients to grow and learn to be well.
