Maggie Mieras, LMSW
Margaret (Maggie) Mieras is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Michigan. She completed her dual Master’s degrees in social work and public health from the University of Michigan. In addition to her work at Arbor Psychology Group, Maggie works as a social worker and psychotherapist at Michigan Medicine’s Briarwood Center for Women, Children, and Young Adults.
Maggie has over twelve years of experience working with pregnant and postpartum women. Maggie has specialized clinical expertise- including a certification in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International. She has additional training with couples, sexual health, self-compassion, and integrative behavioral health. Maggie’s areas of interest include pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders, perinatal grief and loss, relationship issues, adjustment to life transitions, and issues with family of origin.
Maggie uses a non-judgmental and validating stance to help clients heal and grow, incorporating elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and self-compassion. She strives to provide an empathetic and supportive environment for clients to grow and learn to be well.
